Synthesis, a project funded by a Focus Grant from Iowa State University and is a project based on the idea that all elements of our local (Iowa) ecosystem are connected. By allowing the viewer to become a participant in arranging the cubes they will gain awareness of how these elements interact. Turning the faces of the cubes the viewer will make choices about how much soil, water, forest, prairie, agriculture and urban areas they would choose to have in their local ecosystem. We make choices on a daily basis about how we treat the environment and the more aware we are of their effects the better our choices can be.
